Image

The observer is aware of more than one image; he creates thousands of images. But is the observer different from these images? Isn't he just another image? He is always adding to and subtracting from what he is; he is a living thing all the time weighing, comparing, judging, modifying and changing as a result of pressures from outside and within - living in the field of consciousness which is his own knowledge, influence and innumerable calculations. At the same time when you look at the observer, who is yourself, you see that he is made up of memories, experiences, accidents, influences, traditions and infinite varieties of suffering, all of which are the past. So the observer is both the past and the present, and tomorrow is waiting and that is also a part of him. He is half alive and half dead and with this death and life he is looking...

Δ Δ Δ Δ Δ Summer: Part 1 Δ Δ Δ Δ Δ

What a summer, I must say one of the most enjoyable of my life. I landed back in the states after living in China for four months at the end of June. I hung with my family for a week in the High Uintahs, climbed Kings Peak (highest climb in Utah, whoo!), then meandered forty miles south and ended up popping out at a buddy's cabin. After that adventure, I hitched a ride with a friend to Telluride where I picked up THE beautiful Sprinter Van that I got to call home for the next two months. What good times I had, mostly traveling between Wyoming and Colorado between music festivals, stopping along the way to see family and friends and explore the trails of the West. I'm officially a festival gal, and can't seem to get enough of 'em. You can call me a vagabond vendor, selling jewelry on the side to get me to the music festival scene. Dig It! I can't even begin to explain the amazing times I had this summer, I just find myself looking forward to next festival season. I've met so many great people and had phenomenal adventures. I even got my camera out and got a few shots to add to my music photography, here are some pics from the fantastic time I had.

Home Sweet Home.

Fell in love with this kiddo's, they helped me realize that I had two hammocks in my van and helped me set them up at Grand Targhee. Too cute!

This is the view from my booth at Targhee Bluegrass. Best show of the season and I had an actual view of the stage!

Alabama Shakes

Spent the last two weeks at my brother's (you could say that we have the same parents but different cousins) house in Boulder. This is taken standing in his living room. Pretty sure I left my heart in Boulder.

One of the best shows of the summer. Alabama Shakes blew my MIND!!!

Website Update

Finally updated my website with the concert photography that i've taken since summer began. Whoo! There has been some big changes as well. The last photo class I took my professor urged me to figure out what name I wanted to go by. Who was I? What name did I wanted to be known by as a photographer? There are so many possibilities and I confused many people by not sticking with the same one. Last year I decided that Harley Cinimin suited me just fine. Well, A LOT has happened since then, I was out on my own living in another country for half the year, having adventures, living in a van traveling to music festivals, (Not quite sure how i'm going to one-up these things next year), etc. I've grown so much, I have a lot more to do but I feel like i'm getting closer to the person I want to be. So I've chosen the name that I was given, the one that was the real me all the time. Cinimin Girl. How did I not see it before? This is an invigorating change and although it means I toss out all my business cards that I have, it's all for the better. Also, I think i'm going to expand from music photography soon and put up other genres of my photography. Check it out and enjoy.

Yangshuo, China

So many stories I could share. I'd rather keep them secrets and go appreciate the last moments I have in this amazing county.

Strawberry Music Festival

I loove music festivals and have been going to a few back home. It was good to hit this one up, and feel those friendly vibes again. Plus, now I can count myself as an international festivarian. I know I said this in my last post, but my favorite thing to do is make friends. When your traveling, everyone seems to be in the same boat and you make friendships quickly and easily because you know you only have a limited time to enjoy each others company. My friend Lacey joined me at the fest. We made some American friends on the bus and ended hanging with them all night. That's one skill that i've gained here, and I hope I can take it back home to the states. I can go up to anyone and speak with them, just crossing my fingers that they speak English. I guess i've been hurting socially here, but I love it. I love being this open, and I can't wait for more festivals this summer. I'm working for my friend Barb at her organic earing stand (http://www.organicearrings.com/this summer and she's confirmed for both Targhee shows, 4 corners, Folks fest, and Mountain Fair. The only problem is getting to these, my parents better get used to the idea of me trading or hitching for a ride. But Oh well, Festivals here I come!
